Music & Drama
Interest in Music and Drama is encouraged and all pupils take some part in these activities. Children from Year 1 upwards learn to play the recorder. Private flute lessons are also available at school.
There is a school concert at least once every school year and there is also an annual school play. We have a carol service at Christmas where the children sing carols and read the lessons. There are, of course, carols where the congregation can join in. All children, including the nursery join in with these three events. For the carol service parents may, if they wish, exclude their children on religious grounds.
This is the minimum amount of Music and Drama events which we have during the year. In practice, we often have more. Most years we also have a Nativity play.
